Marywood University’s inaugural Fall exhibition in the newly renovated Mahady Gallery in the Insalaco Center for Studio Arts, the 2025 Art Faculty Biennial will be on view through next Saturday, 9/27/25. On Saturday the 25th we will be welcoming prospective students to the first of our Fall 2025 Open Houses. Students will have the opportunity to get a more in depth view of the Department and University, while also meeting with our outstanding faculty and students. Students can register for the event here: https://admissions.marywood.edu/register/?id=d24d1ce7-6f5f-4f8f-94ed-24c423ca74ce
This will not be the sole Admissions Open House for the Fall if students are not able to attend, with an additional session scheduled for November 1st. Marywood is always open to scheduling more focused days with individual schools, or coming to speak with your students in their environment, if that works better for you.
With undergraduate majors in Art Therapy, Arts Administration, Graphic Design, 3D Design (sculpture/jewelry/ceramics), 2D Design (illustration/painting), and the anticipated return of Art Education for Fall of 2026, the Marywood University Art Department is a dynamic and diverse environment that aims to prepare its students for long and fulfilling futures embodying the name of our department blog, Where Creativity Works. Art Department students are taught by faculty that are professional fine artists, designers, and art therapists, and are given the tools to create their vision in both two and three dimensions, analog and digital. Our programs explore the bridges between studio and applied arts and each student is introduced to media and techniques beyond their chosen major.
Faculty within the Marywood University Art Department are nationally and internationally recognized for work within their fields, and we have exhibited, published, and spoken all around the world. Upon graduation and completion of your chosen program, our students boast a nearly 100% job placement rate, both locally and regionally. We have recent graduates all across the nation, working in such varied areas as:
Senior Footwear Designer at New Balance Shoes
Creative Director for King Arthur Baking Products
Senior Manager, Administration and Operations, Department of Greek and Roman Art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art
and even
the 13th President of Marywood University.
