On Monday, May 2, the Carbondale Area Track & Field team honored its six seniors and their parents for their service to the team. Sprinter/Hurdler Alyssa Cosklo, Mid-Distance/Distance Runner Rachel Korty, and Throwers Logan Arthur, Logan Colonna, Evan Miller, and Carlos Orta were recognized for their years competing for the Chargers.
“I loved all six years in track, from running to throwing, it really was fun and made my senior night experience even that more special,” noted Evan Miller.
“I have been participating in Track and Field since seventh grade here at Carbondale Area,” explained Alyssa Cosklo. “I have come to love this sport and the program at our school so much. Track has really taught me how to be a successful student athlete with learning to better manage my time and staying both mentally and physically strong. I am going to miss being a Track athlete at CA, and I want to thank the program for all it has given me!”
Coach Tim Rossetti was happy to work with this group and looks forward to what lies ahead for the remainder of the season. “All the boys came together as a tight unit and worked hard, even though our team was small. They were a great group and fun to work with. As for the girls, now is their time to shine. We are looking forward to districts and watching our two seniors compete and leave a lasting impression at the meet.”
The Carbondale Area School District congratulates the seniors on their achievements and wishes them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
