On May 18, a team consisting of 7th and 8th grade students competed in the NEIU19 Annual Reading Competition. Students worked hard throughout the school year reading from a list of 30 books. The students involved prepared for this competition by independently reading. During the competition, the students need to work as a team to discuss and respond to comprehension questions that are based on the provided book list. The students also collaborated on a shirt design and 8th grade student Natalie Giordiano kindly made shirts for each of her teammates. Their efforts and hard work earned the Yellow Ribbon in the competition.
