Our next Senior Spotlight for the Class of 2024 is Charger Basketball captain Preston Casey. Preston is the son of Shingo Casey and Melissa Molinaro. He has one sibling, Mya, a 2019 CA alum.
Preston, who wears #5, is a four-year Varsity Basketball member where he plays Point Guard and is known for his three-point shot. He has helped lead the Chargers to a 14-8 record this season and Red Wallace and Finan Tournament championships for two straight seasons. He hopes to lead the Chargers on a playoff run in the PIAA District 2 AAA Tournament, which starts next week.
Preston is a three-year member of the Baseball team and also a member of the Spanish Club. His favorite subject is Street Law. He is a member of Academic Honors, the National Honor Society, and the Honor Roll. His favorite CA memory is playing sports with his friends. He is employed at Little Nikki’s at the Ben Mar right here in town. He also enjoys golfing and playing video games.
Preston plans to attend college to major in Criminal Justice. The Carbondale Area School District congratulates Preston on his achievements thus far and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
