Congratulations to Carbondale Area 11th grade student, Scott Snyder, who recently earned The Certified Manufacturing Assistant (CMfgA) credential. Scott completed the 27-module digital platform that focuses on various sectors of Advanced Manufacturing. In addition to Scott’s completion of the Tooling U Certified Manufacturing Associate program (CMfgA), he recently passed the national test for CMfgA and was issued a badge and certificate through Credly, a global digital credential platform.
“Our school partners have really taken to this program – especially Carbondale Area – and many students are working their way through the training and obtaining their credentials,” noted William Schoen, the college’s Continuing Education Director. “Scott has been exemplary in his commitment to the program and local manufacturers will benefit from students like him who have extra training in the industry as they graduate from high school.”
Lackawanna College’s Office of Continuing Education sponsors the program through a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Manufacturing Training-to-Career program in coordination with the ToolingU digital platform.
