Senior Spotlight: Eva Balderas

 

Our next Senior Spotlight for the Carbondale Area Class of 2025 is Chargerettes Soccer Defender and Cheerleading Captain Eva Balderas. Eva is the daughter of Nicole Molinaro (CA Class of 2001) and Andrew Balderas, as well as the stepdaughter of Danny Gabriel (CA Class of 2002). She has four siblings: Drew (CA Class of 2024), Lukas (CAHS Sophomore), Cole (CAHS Freshman), and Nora (CAES 6th Grader).

In addition to athletics, Eva is involved in several other clubs and activities. She is a member of Aevidum, Student Council, Spanish Club, Future Business Leaders of America, and Yearbook/Photography Club. She also serves as the Senior Class Treasurer. She is currently completing a co-op placement at Geisinger Community Medical Center in the Radiology Department. She is also employed at McGee’s Tasty Freeze in Simpson.

Eva has achieved much success academically as well. She is a member of Academic Honors, the National Honor Society, and the Honor Roll. Her favorite subject is English. Her favorite CA memory is moving to Carbondale for high school and meeting all of her friends and boyfriend, Tino. She enjoys reading, cheering, playing soccer, and shopping. Eva plans to attend college to study Sonography and obtain a career as an Ultrasound Technician. The Carbondale Area School District congratulates Eva on her achievements thus far and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
