Carbondale Area is proud to announce that five juniors were selected to participate in Tomorrow’s Leaders Today (TLT) for the 2020-2021 school year: Alyssa Cosklo, Ellen Higdon, Emily Kelly, Emma Baker, and Sophia Calzola. Students from across the region are invited to apply, and there are forty students selected. It is a very selective process, as it has just a forty to fifty percent acceptance rate.
Students meet once a month during the duration of the school year. The program, sponsored by Leadership Lackawanna, develops leadership, interpersonal, and managerial skills; it also provides real-world experience in philanthropy, nonprofit organizations, and community service. TLT students also network with community leaders and with peers from neighboring school districts.
