The District II Pre-District Qualifying Round was held at Elmhurst Country Club in Moscow on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. This event is an 18 hole Stroke Play Event. Juniors Matthew Totsky, Bryan Salitsky, and Brycen Kelly, along with Senior Kyle Perri, all competed, hoping to qualify. Matthew qualified for Districts by shooting a score of 90, as he was in the top 20 in District II. The District tournament will be held on October 5, 2021 at Fox Hill Country Club. Matthew is a member of the National Honor Society and Academic Honors. He is a member of Student Council, FBLA, Spanish Club, and SADD. Matthew also holds a part time job at Elkview Country Club and enjoys sharpening his skills during his breaks.
“Matthew is the Captain of the Golf Team and is a very smart golfer who continues to improve his golf game along with his mental toughness,” explained first-year head coach James Kielar. “The younger, less experienced golfers on the team continuously appreciate the advice that Matthew is thrilled to give them to improve the team. Matthew is always a gentleman on and off the course.”
