The Chargers basketball team (5-13) upset the favored Lakeland Chiefs (8-14) in the Quarterfinals of the PIAA District 2 3A Playoffs by a score of 54-45. On the road at Chapman Lake, the Chargers were led by Tyler Donato and Killian Bannon, who scored 14 points, and Jay Allen, who scored 10. Darryl Bennet (5), Vincent DePalma (7), and Bryan Salitsky (4), rounded out the scorers. Killian Bannon sealed the deal with his first ever in-game dunk with under a minute left. The Chargers improve to 6-13 and will face Holy Redeemer this Friday night in the semi-final round of the tournament.
