On October 15, junior members of the Science and Technology Club attended the Girls in STEM Symposium at the Lackawac Sanctuary. This event provided students with the opportunity to engage with industry professionals who shared their personal experiences as women working in fields traditionally dominated by men.
Panelists encouraged students to take risks, challenge themselves academically, and pursue their interests in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Following the panel discussion and Q&A session, students explored the sanctuary, including its nature exhibits and vendor fair.
The symposium offered a valuable and inspiring experience, allowing students to connect directly with women who have paved the way for future generations in STEM careers.
