Carbondale Area Juniors and Seniors Learn About Apprenticeship Opportunities

 

Representatives from the Lackawanna County Workforce Development Board, Electricians Union, and Sheet Metal Workers Union presented at Carbondale Area on Thursday, November 18, 2021 to students in grades 9-12 for National Apprenticeship Week.

Union representatives gave information on the application process for their union, the amount of time to complete the apprenticeship, as well as what would be expected upon graduation from the program.  They also explained work requirements, pay scale, benefits, and retirement package.
