The Carbondale Area Scholastic Bowl Team recently competed in a virtual competition against Mountain View through Zoom. Students are selected in the fall of their senior year based on class rank. The team of Alyvia Schiavone, Bayley Grizzanti, Sarah Tolerico, and Avianna Pugliese put up a valiant effort, losing 140-120 against Mountain View.
“The event was very fun and well put together. I’m happy that we were still able to participate while adhering to COVID guidelines,” explained Bayley Grizzanti.
“I thought it was a pretty fun experience going head to head against the kids from Mountain View. We did better than what I expected,” noted Avianna. “It was a close score which kept the competition exciting.”
