The Watershed Team visited the Lacawac Sanctuary and the Anthracite Museum during the months of October and November. While at these sites, members of our team learned more about the harmful effects of microplastics in our waterways. In addition to studying microplastics, students at the Lacawac Sanctuary gained a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental sustainability. Then, as we ventured to the Anthracite Museum, students learned about environmental impacts from the past and how they continue to affect us today.
