Future Teachers Club Teaches Presidents’ Day Lesson at CA Elementary School
On Wednesday, February 14th, members of the Future Teachers Club visited the elementary school to teach a lesson about Presidents Day to the first-grade classes. Students learned about the history of the holiday and completed fun activities such as coloring and making a president mask. “It was so great being in that environment and helping the children learn more. Working with them was very eye opening and helped me to gain experience in the teaching field,” explained club member and participant Ella Casper. The club plans to teach more lessons in the future to provide members with real-world teaching experience, in addition to the peer tutoring they provide in the high school.
