The District II Pre-District Qualifying Tournament was held at Elkview Country Club on Monday, September 19, 2022. This qualifying event is an 18-hole Medal (Stroke) Play Event. Junior Jacob Berg along with Seniors Vincent Depalma, Brycen Kelly, Bryan Salitsky, and Matthew Totsky all competed hoping to qualify for the District Tournament. The top 27 golfers make the District Tournament. The field consisted of 72 golfers from AA schools in Lackawanna, Wayne, and Susquehanna Counties. Matthew Totsky and Bryan Salitsky both finished in the top 27, Matthew shot a round of 87 and Bryan qualified with a score of 93, and both will be playing in the District Tournament at Elkview Country Club on Monday, October 3, 2022, hoping to qualify for the state tournament to be held in State College, PA. “Matthew and Bryan have improved their golf swings especially their putting strokes over the past month, helping them qualify. They have worked hard and should do very well in the District Tournament.” explained Coach James Kielar.
