The Science and Technology Club recently hosted an exciting Blast Off to Summer STEM Night for students in grades 4 through 6! It was a hands-on evening filled with learning, laughter, and lots of science.
Elementary students kicked off the night by learning how one of their favorite summer treats, ice cream, is made. The best part? They got to make their own and enjoy a tasty sample! At another station, students explored the science of buoyancy by designing and building boats, then racing them down a water channel. They also had a blast discovering chemical reactions by creating elephant toothpaste and homemade lava lamps.
Each activity was led by members of the Science and Technology Club, who planned engaging lessons and guided the young scientists through each experiment. It was a fun and inspiring way to celebrate STEM and kick off the summer season!
