Members of the Science and Technology Club celebrated International STEM Day by hosting a STEM Night for elementary students. During the event, club members delivered mini-lessons in STEM content areas and facilitated hands-on activities to bring the concepts to life.
In the chemistry session, students created slime, while the engineering activity challenged participants to build structures using only spaghetti and marshmallows. Students also explored coding through Scratch programming and learned to use Ozobot robots, starting with color-coded commands and advancing to block-based coding.
The event was supported by science faculty members, including Dr. Masco (club advisor), Ms. Jadick, Mrs. Higgins, and Ms. Richner. STEM Night provided an excellent opportunity for high school students to apply their knowledge while inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders at Carbondale Area.
