Our next Senior Spotlight for the Carbondale Area Class of 2025 is Academic Honors student Allyssah “Lyss” Bonk. Allyssah is the daughter of Robyn and Ryan Bonk. She has three brothers: Caylheb Bonk (6th Grade at CAES), Landhyn Bonk (1st Grade at CAES), and Mylhes Bonk. Allyssah has been a member of Academic Honors, the National Honor Society, and the High Honor Roll the entirety of her high school career.
In high school, Allyssah has been a member of the Spanish Club, Student Council, Math Club, Science and Technology Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), and the Library Club, where she has worked with elementary students. She has also volunteered at fire halls, soup kitchens, and the YMCA. She also played in the Powderpuff Game. Allyssah is employed at Pinky’s Restaurant.
Allyssah’s favorite subject is Anatomy. Her favorite CA memories include the Senior Golf Trip, going to football games with her friends, and going to New York City for Math Club and Student Council Field Trips. She enjoys drawing/painting, spending time with family and friends, going shopping with her mom, watching soccer with her dad, and watching television shows and listening to music. Allyssah’s future plans are to attend Penn State Scranton and later University Park to earn her Doctorate Degree in Psychology. She wants to become a Clinical Psychologist that works with children and teens and one day have her own practice. The Carbondale Area School District congratulates Allyssah on her achievements thus far and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
