Our next student featured in our Senior Spotlight is Amelia Muta. Amelia is the daughter of Karen and Michael Muta. Amelia was a Carbondale Area Cheerleader each fall for the past three years. She was also a member of the Golf team for two seasons. Her favorite Carbondale Area memory is the Friday night football games.
During high school, Amelia has been involved in numerous extracurricular activities. She is a three-time state qualifier in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and currently serves as co-President. She has qualified for states as a four-year member of the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS). She is a six-year member of Student Council and a four-year member of the Spanish and Science and Technology Clubs. Amelia is also a four-year member of the Track and Field team. She is a member of the Library Club and Yearbook staff and has also served on the Prom Committee for two years. Outside of school, she has been employed at McGee’s for three years as well as Alexander’s Family Restaurant.
Academically, Amelia ranks near the top of her class and as a result, has been a member of Academic Honors and the High Honor Roll her entire high school career. She is also the National Honor Society Treasurer. Her favorite subject is Science, and she plans to pursue a degree at Penn State University that will lead her to a career in the medical field. The Carbondale Area School District congratulates Amelia on her accomplishments thus far and wishes her the best of luck for continued success!
