Senior Spotlight: Chloee Rumford

 

Our next Senior Spotlight is Chloee “Rummie” Rumford. Chloee is the daughter of Donny and Gayle Rumford. She has twin siblings, Bailey and Abby Rumford, who are 2018 graduates of Carbondale Area.  Chloee has excelled academically in her time here at CA, as she has been a member of Academic Honors and the National Honor Society since seventh grade. Her favorite subject is Spanish.

Chloee is very involved in extracurricular activities at Carbondale Area. She is a six-year member of Students Council, where she serves as the Secretary of Minutes. She is the Treasurer of both Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and Spanish Club as a four-year member. She is also a four-year member of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and the Science and Technology Club and is a member of the Library Club. Her favorite CA memories are the 2019 Semi-Formal and the PowderPuff game this year, where her team claimed a 32-0 victory over the juniors; she had an interception in the game.

Outside of school, Chloee has danced at the Carbondale Dance Academy for fourteen years. She has studies the disciplines of tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, and lyrical. She has also held employment there as a demonstrator for five years, a teacher’s assistant and office manager for three years, and is in her first year of teaching dance. Her hobbies include dance and being with her friends.

Chloee’s future plans are to attend Penn State University Scranton to major in Business. She hopes to one day open up her own dance studio.
