Senior Spotlight: Erika Hollis

 

Our next Senior Spotlight from the Class of 2024 is Erika Hollis. Erika is the daughter of Rachel and Mark Hollis. She has one brother, Collin, a sophomore at the high school. Erika has excelled academically in her time here at CA, where she is a member of Academic Honors and the National Honor Society. Erika is currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree and is on pace to graduate with it in August.

In addition to her academic achievements, Erika has been involved in several clubs and organizations outside of the school. She has served as a teacher and peer mentor as a member of the Future Teachers Club. She is a member of FBLA, where she has earned several awards. She serves as a volunteer firefighter at the Crystal Fire Company. She ran cross country and played softball for the school and was also a member of Adrenaline Softball team. She has bowled in a Valley Lanes League and also participates in the school’s bowling team. She is also a four-year member of the Spanish Club and is a member of her church’s youth group.

Erika’s favorite subject is Math, in particular Probability and Statistics. Her favorite CA Memory is the New York City Trip to see “The Notebook” on Broadway. She is currently completing a co-op at the Dime Bank in Carbondale. She enjoys softball, bowling, reading, and baking. She plans to attend Penn West California (in Pittsburgh) to major in Accounting.

The Carbondale Area School District congratulates Erika on her achievements thus far and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
