Our next Senior Spotlight is Chargerettes Softball Captain Gianna “G” Gallo. Gianna is the daughter of Andrea Gallo and the stepdaughter of Christopher Karosus and Jovanna Perri. She has three younger siblings who attend CA: Alivia Karosus (7th Grade), Aria Perri (3rd Grade), and Rosemary Perri (2nd Grade).
Gianna has excelled academically here at CAHS as a member of Academic Honors, the National Honor Society, the High Honor Roll, and the National Scholar Society.
Gianna has played softball for thirteen years. Additionally, she holds the Parliamentarian Office for Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and is the Secretary for Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD). She is also a member of the Science and Technology Club, Spanish Club, Yearbook/Photography Club (where she regularly takes photos for school publications), and has served as a peer mentor as part of the Future Teachers Club. She is employed at Custom Pools and Spas.
Gianna’s favorite subject is Art, and she enjoys painting. She also enjoys watching the Gilmore Girls. Her favorite CA memories include hitting her first varsity homerun, which was a walk-off homerun, last season against Old Forge and pieing Miss Pezzuti at the Homecoming Pep Rally.
Gianna plans to attend Bloomsburg University to pursue a degree in International Business with a specialization in Marketing. The Carbondale Area School District wishes Gianna the best of luck in her future endeavors.
