Our next Senior Spotlight for the Carbondale Area Class of 2025 is Chargerettes Soccer and Cheer Captain Leila Esgro. Leila is the daughter of Tiffany Perry and Joseph Esgro. She has one sister, Rory Esgro, a junior at the high school. Leila is also a six-year Softball player at the high school and plays travel softball for Valley Venom.
In addition to athletics, Leila is involved in several clubs and activities. She is a six-year member of Student Council and a four-year member of the Science and Technology Club. She is also a member of the Yearbook/Photography Club, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Library Club, and Future Teachers Club, where she serves as a peer tutor. Additionally, she is a waitress at McDonnell’s Restaurant in town.
Leila balances her extracurricular activities very well with her academics. She is a member of Academic Honors, the National Honor Society, and the Honor Roll. Her favorite subject is English. She enjoys listening to music and reading. Her favorite CA memory is the Powderpuff game. Her future plans are to attend college to become an elementary teacher. The Carbondale Area School District congratulates Leila on her achievements thus far and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
