Our next Senior Spotlight is Chargerettes Softball player Madison Kelsch. Madison is the daughter of Jeffrey and Jessica Kelsch. She has two siblings: Joey and Bella Kelsch. In high school, Madison has played softball four four years and is also a member of the Valley Venom Travel Softball team. Additionally, she has served as a captain of the Forest City Volleyball team and is a member of the Charger Bowling team. She has also participated in the following clubs: Science and Technology Club, Spanish Club, Student Council, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), Math Club, and Scholastic Bowl. She is employed at the Big Chief in Mayfield.
Madison has excelled as a six-year member of Academic Honors, National Honor Society, and the High Honor Roll. Her favorite subject is Biology. Her favorite CA memory is when Gianna Gallo hit a walk-off homerun against Old Forge. She enjoys coloring, writing, and yoga. Her future plans are to attend Penn State University-Scranton, play softball, and study to eventually become an Immunologist or Virologist to research medicine and bacteria for vaccines. She would like to find cures for some diseases. The Carbondale Area School District congratulates Madison on her achievements thus far and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
