Senior Spotlight: Marisa Matoushek

 

Our next Senior Spotlight for the Class of 2025 is Marching Charger Drum Major Marisa Matoushek. Marisa is the daughter of Dionisia and Kirk Matoushek. She has two siblings: Margot (CA Class of 2024) and Mikel, a first-grader in the elementary school. As a freshman and sophomore, Marisa played the bells and as a junior played the snare drum in the Marching Band. She has also been a member of the Concert Band for five years and is currently a member of the Northeastern Wind Symphony Ensemble.

Marisa directs the band as drum major at a home game earlier this fall.

Marisa is also a member of Art Club (Secretary- Junior Year and Vice-President- Senior Year) and Spanish Club. She has excelled academically as a member of the National Honor Society and Academic Honors. Her favorite subject is Band. Marisa’s favorite CA memory is becoming friends with people in different grades who are in the band. She aspires to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and one day have her own Marching Band. The Carbondale Area School District congratulates Marisa on her achievements thus far and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
