Our next Senior Spotlight is Chargerette Basketball captain Sadie Gardus. Sadie is the daughter of Gretchen and Fran Gardus. She has two older siblings: Audrey (Class of 2015) and Ben (Class of 2012). Sadie plays Point Guard on the Basketball team and was the second-leading scorer in Division 3 with 13.5 points per game last season.
Sadie was also a captain of the Chargerette Soccer team and Cheerleading Squad. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Academic Honors, Spanish Club, Future Business Leaders of America, and Students Against Destructive Decisions.
Sadie’s favorite subject is Street Law/Economics. Her favorite CA Memory is being undefeated in Powderpuff. She enjoys hanging out with her friends, playing soccer and basketball, and interning at CPT in Carbondale to learn about Physical Therapy. She plans to attend college next year. The Carbondale Area School District congratulates Sadie on her achievements thus far and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
