Our final Senior Spotlight for the Carbondale Area Class of 2024 is Valedictorian Megan Elizabeth Cosklo. Megan is the daughter of Kim and Dave Cosklo. She has one sister, Alyssa, who was the Class of 2022 Valedictorian. Megan is a six-year member of Academic Honors, the National Honor Society, and the Honor Roll. She was also selected as the NEIU Scholar of the Year Carbondale Area representative.
Megan has been involved in several clubs and sports in her time here at CA. She was a member of the Future Teachers Club (peer tutoring), Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS), Student Council, Math Club, Library Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), Yearbook/Photography Club, Mock Trial, Science and Technology Club, Spanish Club, and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). In her junior year, she was a member of Tomorrow’s Leaders Today, a regional leadership organizations for juniors in the Scranton area. She was also a member of the Golf and Track and Field teams.
Megan’s favorite CA memories were all her classes and school activities from her sophomore year. Her favorite subject is History. She enjoys hunting, fishing, flying planes, cooking, and going to the lake. She plans to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to train to become an airline pilot. The Carbondale Area School District congratulates Megan on her achievements thus far and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
