A Message from the Superintendent

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! Research supports the importance of educators and parents working together in order to achieve student success. We are committed to providing excellence in our academic program, and our staff is eager and enthusiastic to help students be successful. My heartfelt goal for Carbondale Area students, and hopefully yours as well, is to establish a partnership between the parents, the teachers, and the school.
Each school year brings with it opportunities and possibilities to make a difference in the life of a child. We are excited, optimistic, and looking forward to making your child’s experiences at Carbondale Area School District a positive one.
My hope for the remainder of the school year is to keep the door open for our students to readily communicate their thoughts and concerns and to continue our dedicated service to the public. We look forward to working with you and your child to meet goals and achieve success.
As the superintendent, I am eager to contribute and enhance practices at Carbondale Area School District, and I am eagerly anticipating the year ahead. Please join me in supporting the District’s mission of “preparing all students to be active and productive citizens of a changing global community by fostering lifelong, self-directed learning, independent, and collaborative decision-making through critical thinking and self-awareness.” Together as one team, we will create pathways for students to grow and be successful.
With Charger Pride,

Holly W. Sayre
