Tim Horan is a graduate of Carbondale Area High School (Class of 1995), where he was a standout athlete in football and track. He received a football scholarship at Saint Francis University. He started his professional career serving as a Teacher’s Aide in Carbondale Area’s Special Education department for 2 years before embarking on a successful career in the hospitality industry. He began as a front desk agent at a Holiday Inn in Bethlehem, PA. He was promoted to Front Office Manager and then Sales Manager during his 5+ years at that hotel. From there, Tim was able to continue growing his career to a Director of Sales role with several hotels in the Philadelphia area with IHG (Intercontinental Hotel Group). Due to his performance in these roles, Tim was promoted to a Regional Director of Sales role in which he led a team that was responsible for top-line revenue performance for hotels in major markets of Philadelphia, Washington, DC and New York City. He was then promoted and relocated to Atlanta, GA to serve as the Corporate Director of Sales leading a team of regional sales directors for the Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites brands for North America. After 10+ years with IHG, Tim took on the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Peachtree Hotel Group in Atlanta. In that role, Tim built an entire sales organization and grew from 20 to 100 hotels and to a team of 15 sales leaders. From there, Tim accepted his current role as Group Vice President of Sales for Extended Stay America (largest all suites hotel company in the world). In this role, Tim leads the entire sales organization which is responsible for over $500 million annual revenue budget for this nationally recognized brand.
Tim resides in Atlanta with his wife, Jennifer, and their three children (Alex 23, Jaeden 17 and Dempsey 12). In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, running, and paddle boarding, and remains a loyal fan of his favorite sports teams. He is also passionate about community and works with local charities such as Atlanta Food Bank and Special Olympics.
